Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with your project. Because our work is custom and time-based, the following explains how deposits, payments, and refunds are handled.
1. Deposits
Most projects begin with a deposit to reserve time on our calendar and cover initial discovery and design work. Deposits are non-refundable once project work has started, as they compensate for time and resources already committed.
2. Project payments
Payments for milestones or completed phases are non-refundable once that work has been delivered and approved. If we have not yet started a paid phase, you may request a refund for that unstarted portion.
3. Cancellations
- Before work begins: You may cancel for a full refund of any deposit, provided we have not yet started discovery or design.
- After work begins: We'll refund any amounts paid for work not yet performed. Work already completed is billed at the agreed rate and is non-refundable.
4. Recurring services
Subscriptions for chatbot hosting, maintenance, or support can be cancelled at any time and will stop at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide partial refunds for the current period, but you will not be charged again after cancelling.
5. Third-party costs
Fees paid to third parties on your behalf (domains, hosting, premium fonts, stock assets, AI/chatbot platform fees) are non-refundable once purchased, as they are outside our control.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email hello@myneighborlystudio.com with your name, business name, and a brief description of the issue. We'll review every request fairly and respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
7. Our commitment
We're a small local studio and we want to do right by the people we work with. If something isn't working, just talk to us. We'll try to sort it out before it ever gets to a refund.
